[April 15, 2005] We have our own web server

I work closely with my son, Dennis in Minneapolis, on many of my projects. Today we put into action setting up our own web server to host our web pages. If you don't know what that means, we now provide hosting for our own web pages and our clients. This gives us a number of advantages:

• Lower costs for hosting
• Control of the hosting process from acquiring domain names, aiming the DNS to setting up web pages
• Better control of email services
• Spam and email filtering at the server level before it gets to your email inbox

[April 05, 2004] Computer Training in Hicksville

I was approached this week about doing classes locally "On using a computer." As many people as I have talked to or helped use a computer I realized this is a very good idea. Computers are very complex devices even though they have gotten much easier to use. You have to know certain things to be effective or to even use a computer. After all my years of experience I realize how difficult and frustrating the experienc can be. Stay tuned for more announcements on this.
